ISLAMIC INVESTMENT course provides comprehensive overview of Islamic investment to students. In this course, students will be able to identify concepts of Islamic investment, regulatory and standard-setting bodies related to Islamic investment activities. Students will also be able to identify Islamic bond known as sukuk, its concepts, characteristics and risks underlying sukuk structure. This course will also discuss types of financial instruments, concepts and calculation of risk and return in investment, types of investment analysis, equity valuation methods and securitization

This course also introduces the current practice of Dual Banking structure in Malaysia, religious foundation of Islamic banking, features of modern era electronic banking and remittance services. Throughout this course, different types and characteristics of Islamic deposit, investment structured products, financing, trade financing and securities for investment are described.
